Crocodilo E-mail
Crocodilo is the name of a carnival association in Salvador, Bahia, Brazil. Founded in 1987 by members of the Colégio Marista College in Jaguaribe district of northern Salvador, Bloco Crocodilo first hit the streets in 1989. Carnaval da Bahia's biggest names performed with Crocodilo, such as Jorge Zarath, Asa de Águia, Ricardo Chaves, Araketu, Gilberto Gil and Daniela Mercury. In 1996, Bloco Crocodilo was the first major bloco to stop parading in the Campo Grande area in central Salvador and permanently move to the Circuito Dodô parade in the beach districts of Barra and Ondina.
