Steinberger E-mail
Ned Steinberger (* New Jersey, 1948) is best known for his design of guitars and basses without a traditional headstock. The term Steinberger is also used generically to refer to such instruments, typically made of graphite fibre and with no headstock. The tuning is done using micro tuners located on the tailpiece (right). The first Steinberger basses came out in 1979.
